All book design fees are calculated in two parts. First is the design portion. You (the client) and I (the designer) will work together over video call to create the perfect book design for you. That is a standard rate of CDN $25.00.
The second part of the fee is typesetting. You will then upload your manuscript to me and I will format it to industry-standard (Times New Roman size 12, double spaced, etc.). The number of pages of your manuscript will then be multiplied by $1.50.
*This text only includes the novel body itself. All other pages (frontmatter and endmatter) are not included in this number unless you wish to include a sneak peek at the next book.*
If you want multiple formats (print & ebook, dyslexia-friendly, large print, etc.), the design price will be 50% on the second one, as the design will be mostly finished with minor adjustments. The typesetting fee will remain the same.

Specialty Books
It is a lot more work to design and typeset books in which each page is unique, such as coffee table books. As such, while the design fee stays the same ($25.00 per book) the typesetting fee is $2.00–$3.50 per page depending on the customization of each page. These books typically include more graphics than novels, and as such, the price per page is calculated by the number of pages in the designed book, rather than in the Word document.
